I'm back.

so, as always, let's start from the beginning.

Day one.
went to bre's house in the morning to help lug the water dispensers. lazed around in the house and watched casanova and played fifa. casanova is a damn horny show which people like jireh will enjoy. haaha.

then went to the chalet to dump the things and then bre and i made our way to the pasir ris mrt and found most of the youth, if not all, waiting there already. IMPRESSIVE. hahah. yeah. so my dad and uncle guo tsing ferried the youths back to the chalet.

discussion at night was saved brilliantly by shaun. he scrapped the materials and just began sharing about his life as a christian and stuff. very thought-provoking. and then he invited various people up, including me, to share stuff too.

Day two.
day two is the day where you just learn to love God for holding back the rain so we could have our outdoor games. played captains' ball in our groups; oh. and bytheway, my group is like. wow. ivan,austin,bernice,charlotte, shaun, cheryl. to be in the same group as shaun, cheryl and ivan for captains' ball was... fun man. won all our matches including the final against joshua wong's group and came back from a 4-2 deficiet with two minutes remaining and won 6-4. nubbad huh.

but i guess many lessons could be learnt from this. especially me. i need to stop taking the game so seriously and really should start to learn how to let others have and enjoyable game too. aye. that's probably my biggest weakness. i'm too serious about things which are in fact, trivial. a learning point, i guess.

Day three.
messy games and fluid transitions. that's what happened today. the games were great, really great, thanks to cheryl. me and bre were in the "you-name-it-we-got-it" category. means. we were soaked in barley mixed with honey, covered with watermelon pulp and juice, peanut butter in our ears, papaya skin in my underwear. good stuff man.

transitions for the various events were rather fine, and the game after the break was GOOD. teams were required to move aound to find six different station masters, who gave them a task to do, together with a clue. teams had to join up three clues to find the location where they had to proceed to to find a shop selling water bombs.

answer? the guys' room. 'lowly' used to mean that it's on the first floor. 'giants' would refer to me and joshua wong. 'blooming apples' would mean the adams' apples of those guys who haven't broken their voices and 'thunder rounds' would be referring to the guys voices, which sound like thunder. ingenious eh?

game was planned at like 2 in the morning by, shaun, shawn, jingy, jeremy, cheryl and me. i came up with the poem. cool huh. hahaha.

night worship was truly. wow. with only three guitars and a djembe drum, we managed to create the atmosphere for worship. and then we came to the song "i can only imagine". we just broke down after the worship. i mean. think about it. to have that indescribable feeling not just for an instant, but forever. aye. beautiful.

stayed up the whole night, thanks to starbucks and the bunch of people. fun time la. i was so high because of the coffee and the tiredness that i went into uncontrollable giggles. i mean giggles. high pitched series of laughs. heh.

Today.
went to church by the chartered bus and fell asleep during service. bre sat beside me and basically worked as my alarm clock. and then i had this really superb idea of chewing gum to keep myself awake. so the MOMENT i took out the gum and put it in my mouth, pastor sng was like: "let's rise for this closing hymn!" i was like. ohmaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan. heh.

then went to subway to have lunch. our youth ministry is becoming way more interesting, as cliques are broken. as in BROKEN. and it's becoming wonderful, what we've always dreamed about. today was the first time for the rest of our lives.

i'm tired but freaking happy:D

chalet's tomorrow. whoopee.

went to church for the final chalet meeting and we covered a lot of last minute issues. i'm happy. :) hahaha. bre was rather amused by this game on my phone. FLYING FINGERS. hahahahahaha. she kept on getting a C grade for swan lake. hahaha.

then went to bre's house for dominique's party. watched step up. heh. then bre and i were sitting on the couch blowing our noses like crazy. and then me and grace began torturing winnie by ticking her. hahahah. aye. fun man.

this is the last day i'm gonna be this awake for the rest of this year. heh.

aye. today was rather interesting and fun.

went to city hall at 12 to get my new phone with my mum and sis'. got the nokia 6233 which, by the way, is a DAMN COOL PHONE. hahaha. bernice says it looks exactly like my old one. heh. then went to mos burger for lunch and then to meet bernice and elliot to get my basketball shoes.

got there-- late. and went up to meet a bernice who looked like she was going to jump off a cliff any moment. yeah. so walked to world of sports at wisma, and calmed her down a little. yeah. then went round to try almost every shoe in the shop. didn't like anything until bernice pointed out these eye-uncatching shoes at the bottom row. so i gave it a shot, and those felt good. as in they had everything i wanted. support, cushion, and everything. but i didn't get them. no i didn't. i HAD to go down to cine, then to heeren, then to centrepoint, then to plaza sing. where i couldn't find anything. so me and bernice bought takopachi, then we went back to wisma to get those shoes i saw earlier. and we began to talk about dragon beard candy. so when we got out of world of sports, guess what we saw? yes. a DRAGON BEARD CANDY stand! hahaha.

then said bye to them and went to meet family at city hall again. then went to bugis to watch the curse of the golden flower which is the worst show in the history of the universe. yeah.

project p.o.n.g in TWO DAYS. TWO DAYS PEOPLE. HOWHOWHOW???

christmas is here. wow. time flies man.

yeah. went to church today and exchanged presents with everyone. okay. so i got mainly sweets and stuff (cause i'm so sweet:D) hahah. but bre gave me this mr. bean bear bolster which i was very amused by. it's damn cute la. hahahah thanks man:) and cheryl, charlene, jeremy and the gracii got me this cookie monster plushie with chips ahoy cookies! hahaha quite cute. hahaha. and my parents got me the wow hits 07 cd. yay. hahahha.

then went to watch the holiday. again. hahaha.

then went to auntie faith's house for christmas dinner and sat around and played cards and other games with kenneth and the other cousins. hahaha. we got quite bored. hahahha.

so i'm gonna get my new phone tomorrow! yay. and my basketball shoes! DOUBLE YAY. hahha:D

i'm really stoned at this moment.

went to church today and did the joyful, joyful thingy again. yeah. then went to nanyang jc to have a soccer match with some team. lost 4-1. aye. the pitch was like a freaking marshland la. a fight almost broke out, but the two ppl got pulled apart. aye. things like this. heh. and then since my underwear was soaked through, i went commando. go figure;)

then rushed back for christmas dinner, courtesy of uncle ben trying to chase a cab for me. hahaha. myra and jordan are so cute man. jordan loves playing with balls. sounds wrong, but hey. hahahah. i'm gonna teach him how to play basketball when he grows up man.

okay. i stayed at the westin last night:D hahahha. so here's what hapened for the past two days.

friday
went for training and played against FOUR schools. pioneer, telok kurau, fuchun, and one more i can't remember. anyhow, WE BEAT THEM ALL. hahahaha. yeah. coach made us play thirty-point games with the different teams. first game, beat pioneer 30-24. second game, beat telok kurau 30-19. third game, beat fuchun 30-8. and then played against pioneer one more time.they were leading us 20-8, and we came back and won them 30-26!!! how cool is that!!! omg. and i got like 8 blocks a game so i'm very, very pleased with myself. heehee:D

then went to meet the rest at westin. then went shopping. then went to bugis to watch eragon. it sucks. full stop.

saturday
woke up to watch the lakers vs nets match on the CABLE they have at the WESTIN. hahaha. yeah. then went for breakfast and then went to swim awhile. then after that went to dhoby ghaut to meet the isow gang for lunch at carl's junior. it feels good to hang out with them again. yeah. then went to grace's house for the christmas party. hahahaha. fun man. hahahha. then tomorrow it's another fun day. heh.

okay. i feel better today, i don't know why, i just do.

was woken up at 9.40 by my tution teacher cos i forgot that there was tution today. heh. so came out and she let me brus my teeth. i was stoning in the mirror for so long that she eventually let me go down to eat breakfast while she taught my sis first.heehee;)

then went to pasir ris with the chalet comm ppl to go and recce the place. came to a conclusion: faith is REALLY NEEDED. hahahaha. shall not comment on that any further. hahahah.

then went to grace's house for dinner and the chalet comm meeting. meeting went quite well, got a lot of things covered. hahahaha. and let's just say i got something off my chest. hahahahahha. aye.

friendly tomorrow. dean's gonna be there! hahahahah. yay.

wow. today's been... exciting.

went shopping with bre in the early afternoon. went to get jireh his present;) and various other people. hahahahha. then went to cine to have lunch with the dramamgang. went to yoshinoya and basically made a fool outta ourselves.yeah. ming ate the sour apple thing i gave her and her face turned... wow. hahahah bernice has a picture.hahaha

and then went to watch the holiday. nice show. damn funny. hahahahaha. and then when the show finished, we were reading the credits and ming suddenly screamed: "OHMYGOSH!! JUDE LAW WAS IN IT!!! NO WONDER THAT GUY WAS SO CUTE!!!!" ohman. hahahahahah.

then went to cathay to see elliot perform at ben and jerry's. we were like stoning outside and bernice and i were like listening to my ipod and i was picking out al the cheesy songs just to irritate the hell outta her. i succeeded. heh. elliot's a damn good singer. i'm impressed.

then went to the penang hawkers thing at york hotel and ate till i couldnt walk. hahahaha. yeah.

yeah. went for training today and i found my shooting touch again. yay! hahaha. then played one on one with the coach, and needless to say, i lost. heh. 15-2. save the comments till you see my coach eh? hahaha. yeah.

then cheryl fetched jeremy and i to east coast. brought along ben&jerry's to celebrate charlene's birthday. hahahaha. then walked to parkway parade. bre kept splashing me while walking. and i stepped into some wet-concrete thingy. hahaha. then isaac stopped to stroke a cat and joey ran away, screaming. HAHAHAH.

ate at yoshinoya and chris, jonkiew, bre, me and JIREH were having a damn wrong conversation. ahahahahahahah. croc hunter. wooooboy! hahahahahaha. yeah.

i haven't had so much fun since CHP.

yeah. went to church at 1 to help bring the dums over to set them up. then went back for practice. hahaha. everyone came late la. yeah. then went down to kuehn hall and played heart attack with bre, cheryl, charlene, ade, jireh and joshua. pure retardness. hahahaha. then went back over to do sound checks. yeah.

then went back to church to change and then it's showtime.

my drum mike slipped and i hit and i got a cut on my finger. so the left tom has a bit of blood on it. eeyer. ohman. hahaha. yeah. but then the whole thing was nice lar. i reached level five of my five different volume settings: deafening. heh.

going blading tomorrow. wow. sounds like i'm gonna like have a fight or something. ahahahaha.

i'm dead.

stayed over on the stage last night to look after the equipment. played guitar for THREE HOURS. my fingers were purple la. hahaha. then at like 4 am bre and i went to the seven elevenS around the place to find ben&jerry's. walked to the first four. didn't have. so went to the fifth one. and while we were going there we saw this car with TWO MEN inside. we veered right and stayed walking. quickly. then after we bought the icecream, we walked out and bre saw this indian man lying on the ground, obviously drunk. heh. she got so shocked that she walked right into me. hahahaha. i was so tired that i almost collapsed. yeah. so went back to the stage to eat the icecream and then bre got sick and i got even more tired. yeah. then we were praying at 5am, standing up. i fell asleep while standing up and got a nudge from bre. four times. hehheh. then went home at 8 to crash.

woke up at 2pm to go to church. got there and practiced the puppets and the finale dance. retarded la. hahaha. then- at 8.55

THE SHOW.

went spectacularly. heehee. the poppers at the end went off damn nicely, thanks to the demolition team, aka mark and andrew.hahah. thank you sooo much. hahahaha. then went for supper. chai tow kueh. heh.

it's the concert tomorrow!!! hope i don't screw up. hahah

went to andrew's house today to do recording with james, winnie and joshua. recorded 'amazed' and i think it sounded pretty good, apart from hiccups here and there. hahahah. i tell you, james is getting seriously damn good. yeah. his guitar playing is like. whoa. hahahha. yeah. took the whole day just to do one song. but a nice one. heh.

then went to church to wait for the dancers to finish. then went to ps to watch open season. wasn't as funny as i thought it would be. aye.

i've finished more than half of eragon already. call me crazy, but it's a good read. hahahah.

went to parkway in the afternoon to get my clothes for christmas and stuff. then went to haig road for the match against pioneer. match at 3. at 2.45, there were only THREE players. so we panicked and called around. everyone was either sick, injured, away or just woke up. yeah. that's our school team. hahhaa. so blackie came at three exactly and joni came at three-thirty. after much frantic calling and postponing, we finally started playing with FIVE people. so that means NO SUBS. FORTY MINUTES STRAIGHT. yeah.

to cut a long story short- we won. 48-42:D

but i'm not gonna cut a perfectly good david vs goliath match short. oh no. heehee. we ended the first quarter with a nice 18-4 lead and finished the half with a VERY nice 24-8 lead. that's when we began to slow down. and that's when they began their full court press. so they caught up to within 38-34. then we began pushing forward again. there was this shot i did in the 4th quarter where i drove to the hoop for a layup and some joker got in my way. i jumped and he pushed aginst my legs. which meant i fell forward. on him. poor fool. that's how it usually happens. but this time i fell on my wrist. and then i flopped on him. poor foolS. so now i've got an injured wrist together with 14 points, 5 blocks and 5 assists. nubbad huh.

then went for the CIC practice and watched the girls dance. then went for dinner and then for the prayer meeting. was trying to step on breanna chan's foot and she was trying to step on mine. she's with shoes and i'm with slippers. so that was the other battle i lost.

day one. tuesday, 5/12
see below post for details on what i did at the airport. heh.

reached hanoi airport at 7pm. met the tour guide who looks like a fattened version of adrian pang. hahaha. went for dinner at some restaurant with forest decor. heh. food was good. left me with a nice hope that vietnamese food was good. yeah. then went to the hotel. sunway hotel. the room's small but nice. nice cos the aircon could go as low as 15! yayee! poor jeremy though. hahahaha.

day two. wednesday, 6/12
went to the mountains for a boat ride down a river. dayung sampan. went through three caves. i've got pictures. coming up soon. hahahaha. the old lady rowing our boat was damn pmsy la. got me and jeremy quite irritated. yeah. then went back to hanoi to see the water puppet performance. quite interesting. for the first part. the music and the cramped leg space finally got me wishing to get out.

day three. thursday, 7/12
went on this trishaw-lke thingy called a cyclo. and then jeremy and esther came up with this phototaking service where they speak in vietnamese voices and go: "want a cyclo picture? take speedy- cyclo sevice!" yeah. hahahha. anyway. the guy cycling me around was damn friendly, in sharp contrast to the lady on the boat. heh.

then went to the airport for our flight to hue. [pronounced: hu-ay] met our new tour guide. forgot his name. anyway. went to see some king's tomb and i tell you. the tomb was like it jumped out of some jade empire cinematography. complete with flower blossoms, a lake, wind, a bridge, and a mysterious crypt in the centre. i got the idea for a story which i might write. hahaha. then took a boat ride to our hotel and it.was.bad. it had this really creepy chinese brothel feel to it and we ended up congregating in aunty koon sin's room to practice the CIC dance. yeah. and to eat cup noodles;) hahahah

day four. friday, 8/12
went to the king's palace and walked around. hot and humid. hahah. then went to visit another king's tomb. apparently all the tombs are damn nice. very grand, very jade-empirish. yeah. then went by bus over the mountains to danang. i tell you, my ipod is psychic. i put it to shuffle mode, and as we were going over the mountains, the song did you feel the mountains tremble and ain't no mountain high enough came on. hahaha. and then on the plane ride back to singapore, crash and burn:/ hahahaha. anyway. went to this resort hotel thingy which looked quite pretty. and then we went to the rooms. and THEY WERE HUGE:D hahahaha. BUT. we went to bathe and we realised it was RIVER WATER. SALTY river water. heh. aye.

day five. saturday, 9/12
went to this ancient, forest overgrown temple. very nice scenery and stuff. and the structures there are very.. phallic, if you know what i mean. heehee;)

then went to the old town to shop a bit and to see all those 200 year old houses. yeah. was in a heck-the-world-and-get-the-f-outta-my-way mood. hahahaha. if you've seen me in one of those before, you know how scary it is. yeah. but an ice cream brownie and an ice mocha cheered me up. hahaha.

day six. sunday, 10/12
went to visit the marble mountain in the morning. it's really a mountain with marble inside. as in IN the rock. cool huh. took a few pictures and climed over the mountain. heh. then went to the airport for our flight to ho chin minh, or saigon. i'll use saigon cos it's easier to type. hahaha. yeah. went to our hotel. the NEW WORLD hotel. sounds lame, i know, but president clinton stayed there when he visited vietnam and you klnow what that means. IT'S DAMN NICE:) hahahahha, went into the room and almost fainted with joy. the tv had 40 channels, the water wasn't salty, the gym was world-class and they had a damn nice pool! hahahah.

went shopping at some nearby market and got three shirts and two shorts. all for less than $45. hahahaha. then went to converse and, after six months of searching, found a shoe with size 11! yay:D hahaha. then went to eat at this beef noodle restaurant which was... heavenly. hahahaha. ate TWO beef stew noodles:D and had the best sleep of the whole trip on my nice bed with three feather pillows and temperature at 16. good stuff. hahahah

day seven. monday, 11/12
woke up at 6.30 to go to cu chi tunnels. apparently they're part of the network of tunnels used by the vietcong during the vietnam/american war. altogether 200km long. hahaha. fired an AK-47 and watched everyone else fire, the girls did an M-16. i forgot to cover my ears on one instance and some idiot let loose a ten- round blast on the m-60 machine gun next to me. nearly fried my eardrums. yeah. then went into the tunnels to go and crawl and see how the soldiers did it. the tunnel's about 80cm high and 60cm wide. quite big. we wanted to go into the second set of tunnels which were much smaller but some clown said that we had to go up. aye. ohoh. and i saw some kid from speech and drama who recognised me as eddie goodtime. ohmy. i'm so flattered. heehee;)

then went back to saigon to have lunch. ate at this fast food thingy which was LIKE kfc but not quite. the chicken was super oily and the meat wasn't that fantastic. aye. can't complain la. hahahha. then went to the war museum and went to see all the tortures and jails and stuff. quite cool. heh.

day eight. tuesday, 12/12
stayed in the hotel and swam. finally. peace at last. heh.

i'm going to watch open season at 9.40. and then a match tomorrow. hahaha

hahhaha i'm at the airport now and im super bored. just ate mcdonalds. my second lunch. sigh.

vietnam airlines. doesn't sound too promising.

went to city hall to meet josh and then went to esplanade to get josh's books and stuff. bre was late. hahahahahha. went back to meet her and then went to the supermarket to get the first of my christmas presents. then went to acts bookshop to get some other stuff and then to the party shop to get the rest of the presents. hahah

then we were bored so we decided to go to city hall and watch a movie. so in the end, we decided on Deck The Halls. then we went to buy 2 tubs of ben&jerry's and then went in. hahahaha. it was so dark inside that whenever the commercial was a bright one, bre and i would lean forward to see what we were eating. eating rock hard icecream with flimsy plastic spoons didn't help. hahaha. mine and josh's cracked. hahahah

then went to carl's jr for dinner. bre was quite amused by the waiter when he took out the ketchup from his front pocket and then when he walked away, she burst out laughing. hahahahaha.

got to the airport to fetch sis' and mum. then grace and jeremy came to our house cos parents have morgangela's wedding dinner. hahaha. and they're still here... i still don't have a definitive programme for tomorrow. heh.

went to play badminton yesterday at bishan with... ten other people. heh. then went to j8 to have dinner and charlene took alwyn's rollerblades and rollerbladed there. and then cheryl was trying to hide her face when charlene rolled into subway and charlene gave this grin and went "HI ZIE!" (as in ZIE meaning 'sister') ohman. damn retarded la. hahahaha.

then went to stay over at bre's house and we were sitting at the table with ade listening to cheesy songs on my nano and totally disrupting ade's study time. hahahahahah. yeah. then did morgan's wedding present and slept at 1.30am. hahahah

today, or rather yesterday, if you look at the time, went for morgan's wedding and sang with lois for the youth item thingy. went better than the practices so. yeah. heh. and the worship team's good. okay. veryveryvery good. hahahaha. yeah.

then had cic practice at church. four chinese songs and one hokkien one to finish me off. yeah. hahaha. and then to watch 'flags of our fathers' with daddy. no pun intended. hahahaha. yeah.

i'm tired. church tomorrow, or rather later at 7.45. goodnight.
