so, as i said, entabeni.

we went there on the second day and when we got there, we saw the open top jeeps lined up in a row, as seen in picture 1. and that was the entrance to the park, which really takes your breath away. then we get onto the jeep and it drives us 20 mins to the reception area, where we have a really good lunch. then the jeeps bring us to our lodges.

basically they drop us in the middle of nowhere, and we follow this path through the bush till we come to a cliff. the roof of the lodge common room can be seen, as well and the sky in front of you and it's quite, quite blue! haha nol joke. anyway, so i'm sharing the lodge with nick, dheraj, dewei, beverly and joanna, so we climb down steps and come to our common room, which is about the size of a classroom, with a fireplace and a bar. it opens up onto a balcony walkway, which leads to the rooms on different wooden platforms, at the same time overlooking a ravine(: so the whole lodge is like a damn big treehouse(:

then we dump our bags down and go back out to the jeep which brings us back to the reception area for a briefing, then it's safari time! okay, basically it's indescribable what we saw, but we saw gnus, kudu, zebras, and a lion at dusk. then we were driving back and the stars came out. wow. there was a bar in the sky unknown to singaporeans called the milky way. it's like a cloud of faraway stars which form a spiral in the sky, and is framed by the constellations we see. beautiful.

okay hello to everyone who thought i died or went to africa or something.
well i did go to africa.

so i reported to school with the loading team on friday night and loaded the big lorry with the flight cases containing possibly every single piece of electrical apparatus known to man. sat next to mark and kester on the way at the back of the van. got to the airport early, at 8pm, and realised our flight was at 2:/ so ohwell, waited for the rest of the trippers to come and got coffee in the meantime:D went into the gate and hung out with vinesh and gideon at the entertainment corner, and was beating gideon very closely in a nail biting nba match, then they shut down the game because it was 12. ohwell.

flight was okay, slept about 5 hours and watched august rush and hitman and friends for the next five hours.

reached johannesburg and went to jeppe girls' for breakfast. i've never eaten fresher bread before in my life, and i've never enjoyed a raisin bun before. attempted to make coffee, but failed, more details can be found out from gideon or becky, who both know very well what i did; entitled "john's coffee". then went to the hotel at mecure bedfordview and it's a very nice place, very spacious and everything. changed and went to the lesedi cultural village, realised it hadn't opened yet, then went to a flea market where i got conned big time. ANYWAY, after that unfortuante incident where my rather lousy bargaining got taken advantage of, liankim and farhana vowed to go shopping with me on the last day so i don't end up paying a million bucks for a bracelet or something. anyway, went back to lesedi and toured the place, followed be a dance concert thing where mohit was THE BULL, and then a dinner.

day 2 and 3, we were at entabenei reserve, an experience which i shall bother to type out tomorrow.

day 4 was at the singapore high commission, where some dances were performed and stuff, good stuff, there. then went to a buffet dinner, much like pariss in singapore(:

day 5, park town, played drums there, band was very very very good for our first show! :D

haha okay, that's about half the trip, shall continue the other half tomorrow.
goodnight everyone(:
thank you so much dear(: i love you(:
