survived the first week of school. had inter-house games today and we came in third for basketball! third isn't a very nice position to be, but then my team didn't have enough teamwork i guess. anyway, came out first in the group stage beating CKS narrowly by 1 point. then played against the 2nd place in the other group. oldham. fought hard, but then they won with 2 last second free throws, kicking us to the 3rd/4th placing, where we met CKS again, because of their loss to thoburn by 2 points. sigh. anw. beat CKS again to get the 3rd place.

then went to buy the maroon shirt with the guys (and girls) at taka. the cheapest shirt was like $75, so we went to john little. bought the thing and i headed back to school for practice.

reached at 4.50 looking super sweaty, with a red john little plastic bag in my hand. not the best scenario to be in. heh.

tomorrow. it's showtime.

sigh. the bustle of school is starting to take its toll on me. i've got so many things on my mind that i can't reli think straight.

anw had practice for the wedding yesterday night. That's Why We Are Beautiful is a... beautiful song. haha. its reli nice and flowey. then practiced the other songs and finally got Showers Of Blessing right. as a resolve, no more disney music til the wedding. haha. it's ok if you don't get it. it's a long story. ;) haha.. ended at like 10.30 la.

had training today. i felt we didn't play very well cos the bunch of us who got reli close during the holidays had the momentum kinda shattered by the other guys who didn't go for the holiday trainings. i mean, you learn to work so well with others until they're like your second selves and then some new guys come and you have to start all over again. i'm not blaming anyone though.

clearing my thoughts would really do me good.

yesterday's match against fuchun. we won. =) barker 65 - fuchun 55. 14 points and 5 blocks. not a very outstanding performance, but did my bit. haha.

then went to chinese garden at the other end of the world to meet the guys. swimming was fun!! haha. spent the first 15 mins wandering around the place trying to find them and then heard my name being called. sometimes you just have to look up to find the answer. 5 storeys up. jeremy frantically waving. haha. got my float and joined the rest up there. then went to the wave pool and chilled. literally.

went up to bathe and then had dinner at kfc.

I FOUND MY WALLET! YAAAY! :)

i won and lost today.

won- acsbr vs manjusri. 90-73. yay! got 11 blocks and some 2 digit number for points. fast-paced game with a lot of running up and down.. took the lead in the first quarter, 11-0, and hung on til the end.

lost- my wallet. sigh. i'm depressed. gahh.

went for captain's ball yesterday at gan eng seng. very fun. heh. the winning team played against the 'all-star' team, comprising of shaun, alvin, the twin towers (me n josh), and four others whose names i can't reli remember. haha. had a reli good time there and managed to forge new bonds with the BB guys there.

then went for worship prac and had a lot of fun with the new song. haha. its so nice la. haha.

fongs came over to stay and we all couldnt take it anymore at 12 so went to sleep. heh.

this is gonna take a while. get something to drink while reading this. heh.

DAY 1.
woke up at 7am and met the chans and the others at IMM mcdonalds.. started making everyone wince by sliding the platic knife over the styrofoam, making a screeching sound. =) waited for the fongs to come cos jeremy didnt get his passport done in time.. went into the fongs' car to discuss extended worship with the 2 graces. got hit by some vomit in a tale which i do not wish to recall. haha.

then we reached seremban in one piece and went over for the camp opening. was super nervous when being announced as a group leader. really a camp of firsts. anyway, the day followed with games and then had tribal council at night. GO PRAWNS!!!

DAY 2.
woke up at 7.45am with the horrible realisation that i slept at 2am. was super tired thoughout the day and, with some miracle, managed to stay up through the theme talks. had extended worship at night and god was really moving through the place, the unfortunate encounter at the start proved to be a blessing in disguise, helping the whole worship team to open themselves up fully, as well as to empty themselves of all hate and unforgiveness.

AND. WE WENT TO A&W!!!! here's what i ordered: 2 root beer floats, 1 ice cream waffle, 2 pieces of chicken and 1 curly fries. hahahahaha..

DAY 3.
slept again at 2am but woke up feeling more refreshed due to the extended worship. had games again with claire proving to be as relentless as alvin. went through the day and at tribal council at night, found out that for the first time, there was a THREE-WAY TIE!!! so had to have an oreo eating competition where it seemed as though our group was winning thanks to me, josh and shawn, who were mashing up mulitple pieces of oreos at once. then everyone started laughing as we realized that the oreos were filled with TOOTHPASTE. i shall not go any further.

had captain's ball in the wee hours of the morning and felt fatigue after a combination of 45 minutes of straight playing, waking up after 5 hours of sleep for the past 2 days and the toothpaste clogging up my throat. not very nice and i almost blacked out. but sat down for a bit and rested. then played lesser for the next few games, just blocking shots and setting up shots for the girls. then got paired up with josh inthe same team and thats when the FUN REALLY STARTED. i won't go into details but the phrase 'twin tower defense' might give you sime insight into what hapened. =)

DAY 4.
slept at 5 and woke up at 7, so thats my energy level. camp ended, then we went up to sunway for an extened holiday. had lunch at a horrible teppanyaki place, where saba fish set really means saba FISH. as in ONE SMALL FISH. not plural. horrible. then went shopping with everyone and bought some nice shirts. yay. went swimming after that, followed by a nice dinner in the hotel restaurant.

bre came to our room and watched japan against australia. very noisy match with a lot of wall hitting. heh.

DAY 5.
went shopping in the morning and i FINALLY GOT MY NEW BAG!!! shortly after, went to sunway theme park and went on all the rides. i slipped of the raft river one and my specs were quite mashed up. managed to fix them again in time for the next ride. this next one involes two people sitting on a flimsy float while plummeting down a big slide. very thrilling sensation and went up and down 3 times. then went for a flume ride and a very boring roller coaster followed by the big one. the one. the one which we went on for 4 times. the one which my underwear caught onto my b**** and gave me quite a bit of pain. then we went to the water side of the part and spent a lot of time fooling arnd in the wave pool. then went to the beach and watched people surf and then wen went to the slides. not much excitement though.

the bridge. a long long walk over the park with grilles at the centre so you can look down and 'enjoy' the beautiful scenery.

had dinner at A&W again and then watched cars at the cinema. fell asleep after the middle part of the show and woke up in time for the big race. lol..

DAY 6.
woke up feeling tired but happy. i dont know why, but happy. went for a bit of last minute shopping and got jeans, slippers and mr bean mugs. heh.

then went on our way back to singapore. made a feeble attempt to watch king kong but ended up sleeping. went for dinner at great world and then said our last goodbyes to one another.

you can breathe a sigh of relief. i'm done. heh.

had training in the morning today. super fun. massacred the c div' with our running game. heh. hope they win in today's match...

went for lunch with GGJE. jeremy spilled his coke and there was this grand debate on who's gonna clear it up.. haha.. then went to plaza sing and city hall with grace to look for her misplaced items... haha..

church camp's in 2 days. whee.

sunday was... WHOA. went down for the GDOP and there were like 34,000 people there la!! i can remenber the last time i went when there was like 1/4 of that number... super powerful stuf man.. auntie cathie was up on stage with uncle brendon singing 'Sing To All Nations'. me n grace were like trying to remember the actions when we did that song for arise... haha.

and so today is my official lazing arnd day for this week. havent left the house at all. man, i'm growing fat. anw.. tmr i'm goin to cut hair with dean and then its off to X-Men 3 with 12 other people. woot.

bre wants me to do this. this isnt a real thing, but it IS what i am looking for. heh.

2. I sleep above my drumset. My bed happens to be like a double-decker bed without the first level. yeah.

3. I used to airball underboard shots in sec 1. For those basketball illiterate people, airball means to toatally miss the rim or the board when shooting. underboard means.. well, under the board. haha

4. I yell loudly after I block a shot or a layup. especially a layup. cos those are tough. Just to let off steam.

5. I got a B in chinese for the first time since.. primary 4. Its true! i'm very hapy with myself. haha.

6. I have an almost constant craving for eel. dont ask me why.

7. I've been to egypt. anyone been to egypt?? huh? huuh??

8. I'm a hokkien but I can't speak hokkien.

9. My dad is chinese educated but look at me. terrible.

10. I got married to my church friend when i was around 4. kids these days...
