last night was really... unexpected. found out about a few things which got me quite shocked and yet strangely reluctantly happy about. aye. then before i went to sleep, i was trying to forget about the three o clock thingy and then i fell asleep successfully without panicking like mad. hahahaha..

then this morning bernice told me that she was scared like hell at 3am and yeah. i think she's really perceptive man. heh. yeah.

anyway, today was my 'happy day'. i woke up feeling strangely happy and feeling as if i could do ANYTHING. which was true. cos when i went to school for amaths remedial, i was the first to solve the differentiation question and the people who usually beat me in this sort of thing came round to ask for help! omg. sadly, that highness is geting less and less. i need something to cheer me up. quick.

today went to school in the morning for amaths remedial. learnt differentiation. I AM SO GONNA DIE. cos me and shafiq came like 10 mins late and then we were sitting there for the next five minutes trying to make head and tail of what the teacher was teaching. heh.

then went to kevin's house to watch The Exorcism of Emily Rose. it wasnt as scary as i thought it would be but it still scared the hell outta me. then there was this significance to three am when the protagonist's clock stopped and weird things began to happen, and then kevin was like "OH SHIT!" then i looked up and the clock was showing EXACTLY THREE O' CLOCK! i nearly peed in my pants la! aiya. i'm not going to think about it anymore. if i wake up in the night, i'm not gonna check the time. I'M JUST GONNA FORCE MYSELF TO SLEEP! hahahahahaha

got tuition in a while's time.

had the joseph drama practice today and they were pretty good! very good, in fact. the thing now is for them to remember their lines... hahaha.

Had the flag workshop today and the kids were... kinda irritating. and it didnt help that the aircon was off and i was feeling damn hot and sticky. but i'm such a nice guy and i didnt yell at them. well, just to get their attention. heh.

after church went for lunch with bre, lois, jireh, alwyn, joshii, jeremy, chris and joel's gang [i'm just too lazy to type. heh.] had this saba fish set thingy which jireh kept on complaining it was too big and "HOW ARE YOU GOING TO FINISH IT?!" but i'm john. the eating machine. hahahaha. then we were just sitting around talking about really random things like vulgarities in the army. then jireh answered his phone and went "WHAT THE ****!" hahaha! burst out laughing.

then went back to church to wait for uncle kok wai who was supposed to take us to jeremy's house. grace was playing this damn cool chord progression thingy on the piano and i felt bored so i played along with her using the synthesizer drums. hahaha sounded damn nice la. then went to jeremy's house where i beat poor christopher in every xbox game we played. NBA 06 and some WWE RAW game which he claimed to be pretty good at. PFFFT.

went to bugis with the fongs to get jeremy's new phone. then me and grace got bored just standing and waiting so we went walking around the place and buying food. gluttons:) yeah then we went back to see jeremy get his phone and it looked quite nice. its the walkman phone. forgot the model name. heh. then grace was telling me about her favourite phone in the display cabinet and i thought it looked like a beetle. then i saw the hologram clock in the front. NOT BAD LA. hahahaha

Today was like 'john's a loser' day. heh

i went for drama at 12 today cos bernice said she needed help with the decorations for halloween. so, being a very nice guy, i agreed. then when i got there at 12, there was no one there and miss gracey said that there were NO MORE things to set up! I DON'T BLAME YOU BERNICE:) so i waited. and then bernice came. and we were just there waiting until three. hahahaha.. AND THEN AT TWO-SOMETHING, miss gracey remembers that lightsticks have to be strung up on the ceiling. so bernice and i sat down and STUCK the lightsticks together with SCOTCH TAPE. and then as i was hanging up the first three strings, bernice suddenly knocks over the box and guess what comes out? yes! LIGHTSTICK CONNECTORS. i felt really smart. hahahaha.. then the sec twos finished their class early and they came out and were just making a lot of noise and hanging up lightsticks.

left at four to go home and change for the dinner. i realised that my white shirt with black pants looks damn weird but there wasn't any time to change it so i just had to live with it. and then plus my black shoes and i looked like a friking WAITER. yeah. so we had quite a good time at the dinner, foolng around and stuff. and jeremy looked like ONE OF THOSE KID MODELS FROM BOSSINI or something man! hahahahaha. never seen him in a shirt before! hahahahahaha...

went for training today. coach didn't turn up so we all just played match after match. i've got two new scratches on my right arm. the whole patch of skin just tore off so it's looking quite sick now. heh.

i'm kinda bored now. hahaha

had the class outing today. went to the nobel prize exhibition and it turned out quite interesting. we were all acting super retarded and when the guide asked us whether we knew what cosmology was, ian yang proudly replied: "the study of cosmetics!" hahahahaha. yeah.

then we went to great world city and kevin and i went walking around finding an empty toilet to change cause the others (as in level toilets, don't get ideas;)) were used. and its kinda weird to have 35 guys coming out of the toilet at the same time. hahaha.. then we played at timezone for a while and i tried that drumming game cos i was super bored and i did real badly. i mean, they stopped my song after like 30secs because i was trying to find a rhythm, not following the one up there. ohwell. i'm a 'feel' drummer anyway:) and while playing pinball, my ball got stuck between two metal things and couldn't come out! super loser la.

after that went to watch The Prestige. again, 35 guys going into the cinema together. made a lot of noise, causing the other ppl in the cinema to turn. i mean, they couldnt do anything. tell me, who's gonna stop a bunch of 35 sec 3 guys who are high cause it's the last day of school? yeah. but the show was really nice, a lot of twists and turns. very,very complicated, with the whole story in reverse. go watch it. WORTH EVERY CENT.

AND THEN. sakae. me, kevin and adriel came late cos we had to wait for kevin who wanted to finish his stupid racing car game at timezone. yeah. then it was raining and we had to make a mad dash for the bus which was pulling away as we were crossing the road. thank God for people like adriel. hahahaha. made it to sakae and had to sit in those row seats cos everyone else took up the booth seats:( yeah. then me and kevin were fooling around with the conveyor belt and mervyn scared me. as in, i saw the amount of food on his table. and if you see me SCARED OF FOOD, you'll know how much he ate. heh. i got 21 plates down. mrs loh was quite amazed at the depth of my stomach til she saw mervyn. hahahahahaha...

went for my granduncle's birthday dinner at tanah merah country club. i couldn't eat much. [see above paragraph:)] hahaha. then kenneth, lizzie, joshua, grace, esther and i were running around the place cos the maids were supposed to take care of us. hahaha. bored people.

and so now i'm really tired. hahaha.. training tomorrow:/

i feel so, so dead. after yesterday's thing and today's training, my legs are gonna give way any moment.

class today was damn funny. kevin came back after ponning monday and then both of us cleared out our lockers. manymany things. so our desks were cluttered with a lot of random stuff from our lockers, like the test tubes and thermometers from the temperature taking exercise EONS ago, and then there were my leg weights. 3kg. yeah. so we were like taking the locker locks and having this Fear Factor contest, dropping the locks (which are like super heavy and big) onto our pants. as in the groin area. cos there's like this small space between the... thingies and the edge. so we dared each other to go higher and higher and kevin lost. [OWCH!] heh. then we decided that that was too dangerous and moved on to dropping that on our knuckles. very painful. hahahaha.. yeah.

then after that we got really bored so we took weiyang's teenage magazine and started reading it. then there was this section with a flowchart to tell you whether you're a person with a 'sensitive soul', a 'warm soul' or 'cold heart'. apparently its those sections where hordes of girls gather round and try to find out who or what they are. so, being EXTREMELY bored, we did it. i'm a sensitive soul by the way. true isn't it?? :) hahahaha

there's a class outing tomorrow. gotta remember to bring a change of clothes otherwise it'll look really gay. imagine 35 guys watching a movie. shudder.

went to temasek club today with the fongs and gohs to play badminton, squash and basketball. my legs are SO DEAD. and my arms too. hahaha.. then when the rest of them were swimming, cheryl, grace and i were talking about random stuff. hahaha. like nerdy triple-science people. (with exceptions of course;)) hahahha. then in the car ride to suntec for dinner, cheryl thought 'ambiguous' meant 'ambidextrous'. hahahahaha was damn retarded la.

then had dinner at sizzlers. the others were all getting full beyond words and i'm still sitting there eating without a care in the world. and they were all SHARING their food. as in 2ppl to 1plate. hahaha. then cheryl and i started talking abt... stuff we don't usually talk about. hahahahahaha;)

and i've got training tomorrow. i'm SO DEAD. watch me ache and limp back home. hahahaha

today i watched this abortion video which was super sick. showed the foetus' cut-up and bloody hands and legs. there was also this image of the eyeball of the baby. JUST the eyeball. attached to a bloody tendon. attached to a deformed head. it was so sick i tell you. timotheus almost vomitted next to me.. hahahaha..

then we had our stupid classes. teachers came in, not to teach, but to say goodbye and 'what-a-wonderful-class-we've-been' kinda thing. quite nice. then we were just fooling around most of the time. was sitting next to ian yang during chinese period and so it was quite a contrast. i mean, the man takes HIGHER CHINESE! so shafiq was talking about a diffusion gradient from ian to me and stuff, making mr peh scold him! hah.

i'm going to play badminton/squash/basketball/soccer/swim tomorrow! hahahahaha:D

church today was fun. watched the CHP video and practiced for the following week's drama.

so here i am, writing the script. it's quite corny, dunno whether it'll pass lois' test. hahaha. it's back to school tomorrow. i'm starting to hate the stupid timetable planner or whoever it is. my class handball team got cut cos we gotta have lessons!!! WTF. i was looking forward to the tournament since third term la! sigh.

okay. i was rotting my whole day away at home today. didn't leave the house at all. hahaha. watched three movies: RV, flight plan and the rundown. see how bored i am? aye. i'm starting to miss chp. i miss the practices, the prayer, talking about totally random things, jireh's "HUH? WAITWAIT!" while copying sequences, just being with the band, feeling God. whenever i think about chp now, it's a bittersweet feeling. all the things we've been through. the anxiety when shaun had his stomach flu, the joy when we just flowed amazingly, and the bond between brothers and sisters in Christ.

if there was a word to describe tonight, 'amazing' wouldn't be enough. 'stupendous' would come close to scraping the tip. yeah. maybe 'mind-blowing' would come close, but not quite. it's just one of those things you absolutely CANNOT describe in words. i saw many people just blowed away by God and, whoa. yeah, whoa. so i'll tell you about my day.

1200hrs.
me, tim and sean decided to pon class and go set up for tonight. so went to get the intruments, with a lot of confusion about what and where. hahaha. so moved the amps and the drums and the keyboard to the concert hall and set up the stuff there.

1300hrs.
went to get a drink and chatted with sean and went to get the other keyboard.

1400hrs.
went to bathe and saw something REALLY disturbing. i won't tell you what, but ask me and i'll tell you. just don't blame me. heh. made a call to the 'warehouse' ;) and told the ppl there to bring some extra stuff down.

1500hrs-1800hrs.
practiced and set up sound and practiced and stuff like that. broke my drumstick.

1830hrs-end of CHP
started playing the first set of songs and stuff. shaun lost his voice halfway. hahahahaha. then went back to rest in the back room while the speaker was... well, speaking and jireh was poking all our knees, trying to find the reflex action. hahahahaha. super retarded... then we went on to do the second set and it went VERY WELL. :D so i crashed my way through the last 3 songs, making a small timing mistake, and then we had an encore. one way. i made a fitting ending, standing up and smashing away at the cymbals, and on the final hit, the WHOLE DRUMSET moved forward by about 15cm. a rousing end.

God indeed was there and i don't think the worship team was exempted from his presence. worship team was just.. amazing. [fit whole first paragraph in here if you will] yeah. really thank God we had a chance to play together. let's do it again sometime!!! :D:D:D

my ankle's killing me. finally had training today and we were all quite bad. my team lost. got thrashed by the other team by arnd 10 points. usually its the other way round. heh. ohwell, i guess its just the long break...

today was pretty boring, staying at home til around 12.30 on the com and just lazing around. hahaha. then went out for lunch with mum and the sisters. sakae sushi. they saw what i ordered and they were like shaking their head, wondering how on earth they could be related to this.. guy. hahahaha.. then went to gramaphone and bought to new dvds to keep me company at home. xmen3 and some documentary about shaquille o' neal. :D:D hahaha..

then had chp prac again. met the speaker and he's a nice guy. hahaha. managed to get the transitions sorted out and i think we're almost ready, though not really there yet! haha..

i started on a new book, Seven Ancient Wonders, by matthew reilly. it's a very nice book, with the story already starting with full of action and stuff. very nice:D

ohoh. and i'm resuming my training tomorrow!!! YAAAY!!! this shows you how desperate i am to run around and feel fit after weeks of sitting in a chair and just rotting. hahah

today's last paper was draggier than i thought it would be. paper was alright, not too difficult, but then i finished in 1 hour. so when there were ten minutes left, i started counting the seconds left till freedom. yeah. then i told the teacher that there was half a minute left. and she said, "no, thirty seconds more!" broke my heart, it did.

hahaha anyway after that max and bei came over to play nba06. then at 12.30, joni called me to tell me that he's coming. ASSURED me he knew the way, so i was like, okay then... and then he called me again telling me that he's at some catholic church near kembangan mrt and that he can't find my house! -_- so three of us cycled there to go fetch him. UP siglap hill lah!! hahaha. so when we found him, we made him run alongside us all the way up and down the siglap hill. hahahahha:D we're very evil. hahah. but then we had pizza hut for lunch and the bill came up to like 55 bucks. shock man. haha then went over to bei's house to use the gym but then the guard says that the gym can't be used by non-residents. sigh. so then they came back to my house for more nba06. retarded ppl lah. hahahaha..

then we were playing the slam dunk competition where, obviously, you have to do a dunk, but it's not that simple! you gotta press a series of buttons with the right pressure and everything.. hahaha.. so then bei did this dunk which was really.. bleeerrrgh. then the announcer came up with this song(goes to the tune of b-i-n-g-o): "B-A-S-I-C, B-A-S-I-C, B-A-S-I-C and basic is that dunk, yo!" these computer announcers are getting smarter these days.. haha not really funny, but in the spur of the moment, we all burst out laughing.. hahahaha.. like i said, retarded ppl.

okay. went for lunch after church today with bre, winnie and daniel. bre learnt a very important lesson: never share a meal with me. hahahaha.. she finished off her burger just as i polished off 3/4 of the onion rings and fries;D hahaha. then had the 3g festival meeting and i seriously dont know how we're gonna make enough balloons for about 800-1000 ppl. yeah. and i'm quite tired too.

AND. i've got ONLY 5 MORE HOURS OF STUDYING TO DO!!!!!! as in, the studing that's gonna be forced upon me by my mum. and then... after that..... after 9.25am tomorrow, 16th october, I'M GONNA BE THE HAPPIEST MAN IN THE WHOLE WORLD. well, maybe not. cos, you never know, someone might win 4d or something tomorrow... heh.

back from my dual practices. i'm supposed to be discussing the sakae sushi competition(which i'll definitely win) with elliot and bernice but she's having a fever. ohwell. get well soon man!! haha:)

anyway i think the cg team has definitely improved. and the CHP team's doing veryvery well, i might add:D we're gonna ace this thing! hahahaha.. AND I NEED EARPLUGS. cos i'm gonna go deaf listening to myself smashing my drumsticks on that poor piece of metal. and of course my sticks are gonna break soon. just look how..... seasoned they are. hahahahah..

went for drama at 1 today. was crapping around with bernice and elliot before the performance, laughing really loudly.. hahahha. then me and bernice started telling lame jokes and then elliot pretended to shoot us and the i threw my red cloth from my chest and was like "urrrghhh..." then we all began rolling around on the floor laughing. again.

haha.. then elliot was wearing his chinese thing and the pigtail hat which made him look like a geisha. hahahaha. then bernice had her pack of bindis which, at the back, was proudly stated: international standard. hahahahaha.. and i think i performed better here than i did in the exam la.... maybe cos its a live audience and i could maintain eye contact... hahaha..

im going for my dual worship practices. ending at 10. way to go john!! :D

CHINESE WAS EASY. i think i can pass this one. and my arm got viciously mauled by ian while playing basketball. was getting a rebound and then SWIPE! and then red lines on my arm. sigh. and then everyone's gone off to enjoy their freedom while I, have to stay at home and STUDY FOR THE STUPID BIO EXAM!!! graaaahhh...

amaths today really made me think. it's the first paper, as in the first in my life, which lasted me through the WHOLE duration. for those of you who have seen me do exams and got really stressed after seeing me finish after half an hour, rejoice! hahaha. for today, i finally knew what the last question was looking for with ten minutes to go. then i was rushing my head off with the two- part killer. as i wrote my last unit, cm2 to be exact, teacher said "TIME'S UP!" hahaha.. kinda like a basketball game when u make the shot at the buzzer. hahahahha..

speaking of basketball, i went to play again after school. hahaha. funfunfun. ohyes, I'VE GOT NO SCHOOL TOMORROW!!! hahaha.but then that means studying for bio. sigh.

lit paper today was rather easy... hahahha.. and i played basketball for the first time in 3 weeks! hahahaha. met some balestier hill guys there and played against them. glad to see everyone's form back up:))

maths paper 2 today. paper was easier than i expected. ahahaha. when the answer came in abt three steps, i thought i did it wrongly. anyway, at least i waont fail. hahaha..

then there was cme too. civics and moral education. heh. asking about singapore's government. i thought it was SS la! hahaha.

had practice for CHP after church today. took awhile to get into the swing of things, started off VERY SLOWLY but then it got better and better as time went by. shaun's got his vocals quite nicely today:) hahahaha.. i'm gonna need a towel on the day itself man.

tomorrow's emaths paper 2. it's back into the exam life, though not that stressful anymore. just maths and amath, lit, bio and chinese left! yay! hahahaha.. and the haze's gone down too;)

just got back after my fun-filled, smokin' (literally speaking) day. drama was fun today and i got my marks back. it's an 82. not what i hoped for, but heh. what's done is done. hahaha.. then we wee doing this beatboxing thing and i've gotta do it while marvin does his rap on his poem. hahaha. the area around my mouth was getting super wet and it didnt help that miss yingying and bernice were laughing all over the place. hahaha. yeah, so i've gotta be there next week at one to do the john & bernice show, with three timeslots, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm. and the examiner says i'm very calm. heh.

then went for powerkids. dressed up in the sweltering lion costume and came out to dance and take pictures with the little kids. on my way out, i tripped over one of them. ohwell, can't be helped;) hahahaha.

stayed there for worship prac after that. i'm playing TWO instruments tomorrow. piano and bongos. watch me struggle. hahahahahahaha. and then after the prac went for dinner with jingy and jemmy. 3 js. anyway, the air was SO HAZY that if you put a piece of salmon there, you can take it back and eat it with rosti. smoked salmon. heh. me and jemmy were exploding straws and making a lot of noise. suprisingly we didn't get kicked out. heh.

i've come up with a lot of haze jokes. like that one up there. and heres another one: it's so hazy that smokers don't need cigarettes. they just breathe in. "da-da-chsh!" hahahahahahha:D

it's finally the end of the week. i've been blowing my nose and coughing the whole time in class cos i'm sitting next to the window on the 5th floor and WHAT A TIME FOR THE HAZE! sigh. haze, haze go away, burn your trees another day...

anyway tomorrow's gonna be quite a busy saturday. i've got amaths tution, followed by drama, followed by powerkids... i'm gonna dress up as a lion! and to end it off, worship prac at night. hahaha..

so i had emaths paper one and chinese compo today. i had this question on some taxi driver returning a wallet for the yingyongwen. turns out i did that topic yesterday for tuiton. so when i saw it, i was like "WOO HOO BABY!!!!" yeah. maths was okay, not too hard but definitely not too easy. hahaha.

went for drum class and the teacher let me listen to this drummer who, if you ask me to describe him in two words, it'll be something like: mad. wow. i was speechless when i heard the solo. think about this. triplets with the right hand, some seven beat thing with his bass drum and his snare hand going at like 100km/h, dancing to a 16-beat rhythm. exactly. wow.

hahah elliot told me last night that he didn't see my marks and so he's not sure whether i got honours. ohwell. it's ss and history tomorrow.

it has begun. physics today. i didn't see the diagram and thought the resistors were in parallel. turns out that they were in series AND parallel. sheesh. ohwell, it's over! hahhaaha

english was okay. turns out that me and shafiq both wrote the same topic! 'describe the time when you felt really sorry for somebody.' i wrote about a guy killing himself. shafiq wrote about a girl killing herself after failing o-levels. both of us described the corpse in very graphic detail. BUT THERE WAS ONE DIFFERENCE. his girl jumped from the 17th floor. mine jumped from 20:) hahahaha..
