a really rough day, with some smooth patches.

woke up this morning feeling really depressed cause i was thinking about it last night and yeah. full story, limited edition. hahahha. so i didn't open my mouth to say anything to anyone until i got to school and i sat with the guys in stoned silence. honestly it was quite bad, the mood. so anyway went up to announce the results and yew jin cheered me up only slightly and then i went back to my class, and i had trouble concentrating for english and i kept lapsing back into my sorry state. didn't even talk to shafiq. then bre messaged me and she did a great job of cheering me up again:D thanks man:)

then had pe which made me happy even more cause i got 265cm for my SBJ! heehee:) and my shuttle run timing went down to 9.3 secs! yay! AND i did FOUR pull ups!!! :D:D yeah.

and then during training i almost went back into depressed mode again. cause only eight people turned up and mdm tan was scolding the eight of us for not getting the others to come. i mean, whatthehell la. and she even went as far to say that she didn't even like this team from the beginning. i was prepared to just walk off and just go home. but then we decided to reason with her and it went RATHER okay. because of my [almost drained] calm aura and yew jin's nonsense. hahaha. so then we decided to have a match just for the fun of it and it was just so crazy watching everyone pull of retarded shots and moves. but i guess this is how the game should be played. fun. so i'm gonna hang loose tomorrow, have fun, and make it as much fun and flashy for the other guys as well. because that's what basketball is. it's not really a sport, it's more of the entertainment value. hey, you don't see fat men jumping of their couches imitating kobe or old grandpas kicking balls like gerrad [RIGHT BRE!! :D]. no you don't. they just sit there and expect the guys playing to make their cable tv bill worthwhile. by making it fun. so that's what's gonna happen tomorrow. we're gonna have fun. :))

lost 52-37. i almost cried after the match and it was so bad, everyone didn't talk and just went home. the 18 points i scored didn't even matter. all that mattered was that we didn't have teamwork. and we went there believing that we could beat them, so there was a greater fall. so that's it then. the tournament's over guys. i thank you all for the encouragement, brotherhood, for all the laughs and everything:) there's one more match on thursday against new town. let's go down fighting.

on a MUCH happier note, i went for amath tuition after the match and i was feeling so depressed. but then bernice started cheering me up with her yellow duck and her monkey, morris. hahahahha. so now i'm much better:) thanks fabulous:D

today was a really nice day:)

i didn't go for training in the morning cause i overslept and i was like aiya, nevermind la. heh. so drama was damn funny today cause we were supposed to do portrayals of different words like life, death, science and stuff. so elliot was doing life. and so he sat in the corner and gave birth. IT WAS DAMN FUNNY LA. hahahahahahahha.

then at seven went to centrepoint to wait for elliot so we could go to bernice's suprise birthday party. apparently he got held up so we ended up going there at 8. hahahah. went to pastamania and met a very pleasantly shocked and suprised bernice and her friends, who knew everything. hahahaha. dinner was damn retarded and elliot was explaining to us the spiritual bond between him and his guitar and his bed and his guitar. hahaha. then the waitress brought the cake out, courtesy of bernice's sister and it turned out to be a barbie doll, with the dress being a cake. it was damn funky. hahahahahahah. yeah. so i had like two SLABS of cake which looked like steaks and that made me rather full. hahhaha. then elliot and i were entertaining ourselves, playing the guitar and jayne(bernice's sister) and her boyfriend looked completely lost and bored. HAHA;)

then went to balmoral to meet bernice for tuition. had dinner at waffletown and we were like sitting there eating and watching the chinese drama with all those teenage newcomers. the two of us were trying to catch the title during the advertisment but due to our excellent chinese, we managed to identify the first word before it switched to the advertisment. heh. so we just commented on how lousy their acting was but the funny thing was that we were also making comments like OHH THAT'S SO MEAN. then we realised we were supposed to be criticizing the show so we stopped. HAHAHA.

then went for tuition and i sat underneath this low shelf and i was trying not to hit it when i stood up at the end. hahahaha. then after tuition bernice's parents gave me a lift to lavender mrt. and they have this cool direction thingy in the car. hahahah

i'm gonna see bernice again tomorrow man. hahahahahahahha

my effed up mood is slowly beginning to wash away:) usually lasts for about four days. heh.

played today against beatty and bernice was telling me in the morning to BEAT BEAT-TY. that got me quite high for the better part of the morning and the day went by in a flash. then we went to ccab and my ankle was hurting pretty bad. so we watched pierce get thrashed by RI [87-43, i believe], and we were in high spirits. so we went to warm up and most of us were quite hot:)

yeah. so then we started the match 6-0 and we got complacent too early. then they caught up to beat us 12-8 and we slowly got our heads back down on the ground. so we defended quite well and scored at oppurtune moments and we won:) 40-35:D there was a crowd gathered and they were cheering for us:) hehheh. especially after i chionged for a loose ball and snatched it away rather violently with a roar. the crowd matched my roar and then we began fighting for our lives to withhold the lead. anyway. the whole team played extremely well and I AM SO PROUD OF YOU GUYS:D:D:D

i'm in this stupid mood again.

it's the one where everything seems to be going wrong and i'm effing pissed off at basically everything. so yes, today i had training and dean drilled me in post moves which basically means i get under the board, shove the person blocking me away and put my whole weight on the shot to make me invincible when i jump up in case the person comes back to block me again. we both got super pumped up and i was getting more and more rough and stuff and we were just going on and on till i got the hang of it and until dean's mouth bled because of my repeated hammering. but he didn't care. he just wanted to make sure we were perfect for tomorrow, letting everything else on our minds take a backseat. now THAT'S a captain.

and then while jumping for a rebound in some other thing, i landed with my foot slanted on jared's foot. i felt it go down and i basically rolled with the shock to lessen the impact but still came away with a twisteed ankle:( but i don't think it's anything major and stuff. heh. then i was lying there on the floor with my legs propped up on a bench and mdm tan came in and thought i broke my back and neck or something. HAHAHA.

yeah. then i fell asleep during english and amaths because the teacher was like rambling on and on and on and on and i got bored. HEH.

today i was damn jacked.

went to school with shawn's bass and got into the chapel. mr eio was standing there and the moment i saw him i knew something was wrong. OH. I DIDN'T KNOW I HAD A BASSIST TODAY! i felt like digging a hole in the ground. if i were anyone else but me, i would have pointed at myself and laughed myself to death. anyway, it went FAIRLY WELL. i was training myself in just whacking whatever sounds good, and i think i bluffed it quite nicely. heh. tim walked in, saw me, realised my mistake in coming and began sniggering to himself. walaoeh.

went for chem and sat with a very bored looking shafiq who was like I CAN'T IMAGINE WHAT I WOULD DO WITHOUT YOU MAN. cos he was sitting by himself at assembly and he said it was damn quiet around him cause i wasn't there to make him laugh. hahahah:)

there's p.e tomorrow. and then tuition with bernice. sounds fun. hahaha.

went to church at 7.45 today to play for main service. and then at 9.45 there was the youth worship. AND then at 10.30 the main service again! hahahaha. good stuff man. hahaha. then after service went for the treasure hunt (which was well planned er. ade, bre, cheryl, claire, josh. i think) hahahahaha. yeah. ran around the whole of tanjong pagar taking pictures of stuff. never realised it was so big. hahahaha. then came back and my group came in second. heh.

then hung around for a bit talking to bre and claire was just like using up my phone battery playing flyingfinger. hahahah

pan's labyrinth was very good. well worth the five stars. the story was imaginative and everything just fit together and stuff. the eyeball monster was cool too. hahahah. and the toad vomitting its guts out. HEH. yeah. go watch it.

went for training at ccab today. coach asked us to shoot around and play a few matches to get used to the rim and the court. i was feeling damn tired after what happened over the past few days and so i was seriously stoning like mad. then i suddenly realised that all my shots were going in when i wasn't thinking about anything at all. as in ALL MY SHOTS. 100%. never happened before. interesting. yeah. got the hang of the post move dean taught me and it's quite useful. heh

then went for lunch at some place at coronation. the chicken chop there's nubbad. haha. then the moment we stepped out, it was POURING. and today was the day i chose to wear white. heh. so while waiting at the bus stop, this merce comes roaring past and i get splattered with water. NYEH.

then went home and had my shower and got ready all in five minutes. drama was fun and retarded as usual. hahaha. we did this improvisation thingy where we were supposed to make a scene with the words 'why', 'sorry' and 'oh'. retarded la. hahahahahaha. then elliot tried taking masking tape to wax my legs. painful man:( hahahahah. then he rolled the masking tape into a ball and he was like EH JOHN. LEMME THROW THIS INTO YOUR SHIRT! so being a total idiot, i pulled my collar forward and he threw it into my face. oldest trick in the book and i fell for it. hahahahahahha.

i got damn pissed today because our class had to go for this cip project. so then i asked miss lee whether i needed to go and she was like OH IT'S OKAY. JUST HANDLE THE PRESENTATION PART. so there i was, feeling very happy and relaxed in the sports hall, listening to my ipod, deciding whether i should start practising shooting now or in fifteen minutes time when sean called me to tell me that i HAD TO GO FOR THE THING. and i had to go down to the carpark IMMEDIATELY. so fine, i rushed down and miss lee smiled at me and she was like THANKS FOR THE QUICK RESPONSE JOHN. and i was like. okay, at least i'm being treated well. and THEN, the ****** cip teacher came up to me and snapped FOUR A ONE AH?? i nodded WHY YOU HERE SO LATE?! GET ON THE BUS NOW LA! then i was like whattheshitman. aye. i was fuming on the bus and when i reached there. sickening.

yeah. but then calmed down after being calmed down (by bre again!) hahahahah. so got posted to the hospital ward where we had to talk to the old people. thing is, half of them were sleeping and those who weren't sleeping either didn't want to talk to us or they didn't speak my pro language, chinese. hahahaha. so walked around with kevin and wira and went to the other groups, who had AIRCON. and then went to watch the people who were cleaning the ambulances and fooled around by making them clean the ambulance like paris hilton. HAHAHAA.

then went back to school for training and practised our plays and played and stuff, pretty slack, still recovering from yesterday. heh.

then went to meet bernice at waffletown for dinner. BERNICE IS EVIL MANN. she made me eat my egg yolk (the only non-veggie i refrain from eating) and my cucumbers!! then we were entertaining each other [she put equal amounts of butter in her waffle, i plucked the seeds from my... ugh... cucumber.] then she was talking about my sports hall having no ventilation but she said my HAIR has no ventilation. that got us laughing for quite awhile too. hahah.

then went for tuition. again, the teacher's really good. made me understand the whole magnetism lesson in 20 mins. hahahahah. then we were talking about how bad each other's schools and teachers were. hahahah.

and i realised i'm gonna see bernice three times a week. hahahahah.

had our match against RI today. lost 37-47. but we showed really tight teamwork and defense in the first three quarters and we were leading 27-20. aye. i guess the fall's hardest when you're so close to the top. but then you also have things to break your fall and who help you get up and climb back up. thanks mum and bre. my mum turned up for my match and it was rather comforting:) bre mentioned the above verse to me before the match and i was feeling very god. thank you both man:D:D greatly appreciated.

today is a day of rather good happenings. hahaha. i only used about 25 tissues in class today. i'm so proud of myself! then there was not much mucous in my nose and mouth so i'm on recovery now. by tomorrow i'll be back to my usual self. dunno whether that's good or bad, but. hahahahahahah.

went for training and did some shooting around since i didn't want to tire myself. slammed all the three-pointers i shot. 2 outta 2. BETTER THAN NOTHING. yeah. so then i went off to practice by myself since i couldn't run.

tomorrow's match is against RI. coach gave us some pep talk and mdm tan too. but didn't really feel convinced and stuff, just a little reassured. then bre messaged me to tell me to enjoy myself and that their reputation preceeds them. just in that short sentence alone, i was like. SO i went to look for joachim and then i checked his bag and he didn't have it. then i heard laughter behind me. shafiq. so he told me that joachim still had it in his bag. the moment he said that, joachim called me from the second level. being extremely stupid, i ran up there to find him missing. then shafiq called me and waved the jersey at me. NYEHH. retarded people.

then went to meet bernice for tuition. we were like doing and doing and doing until we felt damn sian. and, for the first time today, i didn't blow my nose for a full half-hour! heh:)

wow. this is the first time i've sat at my computer since thursday.

went for training on fri and it's... not as i hoped. i won't say too much. it's been affecting my mood for almost the whole weekend. plus the fact that i have a bad throat and running nose and phlegm in my throat. green phlegm. yeah. then went for fusion and youthalive is good. more on that later. yeah. went to macs or dinner and ate two fillet-o-fishs, one large fries, seven nuggets, one large ice milo and a mocha frappe before jingy finished his ONE FILLET-O-FISH MEAL. he got shocked out of his life man. hahahha

then on saturday went back for the drum workshop. during the morning sermon, bre and i got damn high and we were laughing at completely random things like popeye and shaun's arm HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAA. the drummer is... AWESOME. he was like showing us double pedaling and stuff and how to twirl our sticks on stage and all that crap. and he's damn funny. hahah. then the bassist came in for the second part to talk about bass/drum dynamics and the two of them put together is like james and i together. it gets damn retarded. HAHAHA. yeah. then went for 'dinner' and came back for the night service.

had training today. :)) did the sec one selection and cut 32 people from the 50 people who signed up. i felt so bad when i had to tell those people that they had to go home. seriously. i don't know why. usually i'll just say it and then not give a care, but this time i was like OHMAN I FEEL SO BAD. sigh. anyway, we've got quite a mix this year. 3 china people, 2 filipinos, 1 indonesian and a host of others. hahahah. and they're quite good. and big. about 175-ish. sec ones and twos. hahaha.

then finally got the selection sorted out and then began our training. i think we're gelling together very well, with relatively improved passing and plays and stuff:) i'm so proud of you guys! hahaha. especially marcus. from hating each other to becoming almost like an extension of my body (no wrong ideas man! ;)), it's gonna be fun. hahahah.:)

then went to meet bernice for lunch at 2. went to eat prata. i got 2 egg pratas and then as i sat down next to bernice, she was like GETTING FAT AGAIN HUH? and then the guy from the drink stall asked at the same time WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO DRINK? and then he heard bernice and then he was like HUH? CAT? ohmannn. hahahahhaa.

drama was retarded again. as usual. we got miss evelyn as our teacher. miss EVILin. hahah. she made us do this improvisation thingy with three words and first we were supposed to make it into a story and i had chair(roslyn), detrimental(bernice) and the infamous sotong(simbian). so i did my story and it was like damn retarded la. everyone had damn stupid stories. hahahah. and bernice did this sesame street voice which almost killed me. heh. it's so good to be back with that bunch of crazy people:)

aye. powerkids mission people coming tonight. heh.

first week down. ten more to go before me first. ahem. holiday. in march. i'll probably be studying hard by then. hahaha

shafiq, kevin and i were damn bored in physics class cos mr lau dadn't feel like teaching. so i took my nalgene bottle and started spinning it to get that vortex effect. then the three of us were like damn amused at the thing. and i started making retarded noises. kevin too. but kevin's the king of retards so that's normal .HAHAHAHA. so we were all laughing pretty hard. yeah. then mr lau came over and that was the point at which i turned it and i clapped my hands like a seal. yeah. great timing huh. then he looked at us laughing away and then he leaned in and said to us: "you know... very little." and because he's so short and stuff, it got us into another bout of laughter. hahahaaha.

had the sec one cca selection today. we had the whole half court to ourselves, so dean and i started shooting. then mr tan got pissed off and we stopped. but i mean, it's hard for us to stop permanently eh? so we went back to play again. heh. then he got tired of telling us to stop so he gave up. hahaha. anyway, we got 45 people for basketball. it's like some international all-star team la. we've got people from phillipines, china, malaysia, indonesia and singapore. hahaha. and they're all pretty big. not bigger than me. DUH. but big. about 17-plus. nubbad for a sec one eh? hahah.

aye. then talked about the team with chang zhen, or however you spell it. our new teacher. he's from china and speaks only CHINESE. so i had a 15-minute conversation with him.

had this long and rather stupid and pointless "discipline talk" during the last period with the new discipline mistress. i think it's sad la. i won't say any more in case i get arrested or something. heh.

went to register at novel with bernice and her friend, sufen. every time i'm with her i do something rather stupid. like today. i tried opening the door out of the centre. i pushed it and it wouldn't budge. so i felt rather stupid and tried pulling it. THEN i realised it was locked. aye. hahahhahaha.

i'm watching the last samurai now or rather, it's finishing. not the kind o attitude from a sec 4 guy. heh. aye. i love the part when nobutada tells nathan algren: "many minds. mind of stone, mind of enemy, mind of sword. no mind. no mind." hahah. aye. i'm gonna apply that to my basketball man. hahah.

first day of school.

got nuridah lee as our form teacher. she's honestly the only teacher i respect this year. the others just don't cut it. aye. she's got a very quiet yet commanding demeanor around her. yeah. then after school there was no basketball:( so went to play at cairnhill where i got stung by a bee. damn loser la. ahahaha

i couldn't sleep last night cos 1) my body clock's all wrong and 2) bernice made me high and i couldn't sleep. it's something which i dread seeing. hahahaha. right bernice? ;) hahaha.

there's no training for the rest of the week:( sigh. and i kept thinking about eating prata today. hahahahah;)

aye. it's school tomorrow.

went to chinese swimming club today and went to the gym and played a bit of basketball. there was this guy there who seemed AWED by my layups. i mean, layups! come on. ohwell. i have that effect on people. HAHAHAHA.

then came home and got ready school stuff. and i realised i need insoles for my shoes cos they're quite big. aye. i dunno how i'm gonna wake up.

i'm having that lingering feeling of something that's gone really well and it's really nice.

went for pastors' appreciation dinner last night and it was great seeing the three cliques sitting together at the back of kuehn hall, talking and chatting with each other. ayee:D then went up to the youth room cos the adults were having a karaoke session and we were having none of that. hahah. watched andrew sing 'when you say nothing at all' and my sis thrashing joey at speed. hahaha. then bre left for korea.

then went for watchnight service and slept three times. shawn was my poker in place of bre. haha. then sang pass it on and the battle hymn of the republic and it felt so good sealing what happened at the chalet with the lighting of candles and the two songs. then went home to crash and woke up at 3pm today. heh.

it's like milo 3-in-1. it tastes better and makes you feel better, knowing there's something else in there. right shawn? :)
